| one of my all time favorite songs, but i think covering it esp at the galaxy will attract people who you don't want to attract to your shows. i wish that everyone who liked skrewdriver only liked them for their music and not for the bullshit they stood for |

i assume you mean "Boots and Braces." Both "Boots and Braces" and "Hail The New Dawn" are great records, though "Hail The New Dawn" obviously sends out some deplorable messages. "Hail" was probably their last street rock record. "After The Fire" had a couple of songs that sounded like early Skrewdriver but after that it was all country, hard rock, and metal.

| its a really sick song ive listened to it about 30 times in the past 3 days.. and i dont think boneheads will start going to our shows because our singer is obviously mexican. if anything were hoping to piss them off.. and we might not be playing shows for a little while after this. so theyll forget about us haha.
and last time there wasnt any skin heads at all... maybe 1 or 2 but it was all just drunx punx that like to buy merch |

Yes, I mean Boots and Braces. or All Skrewed Up (though something tells me that one was a best of), but i'm referring to when they were just merely bootboys and not National Frontmen. |

| All Skrewed Up is not a best of and was the first record were they adopted the skin/bootboy look. They were still rocking the 77 punk look on their first 2 7inchers |

| Oh yeah, Boots and Braces, Voice Britain, Back With Bang etc....are all WP/National Cunt records. Not their "bootboy" stage. |

right the band members were affiliated with National Front when they put out "Boots And Braces" but were not writing political songs yet. "Voice Of Britain" and "White Power" were statements that were encouraged by representatives from the National Front. "All Skrewed Up" was recorded by a different lineup than the latter records. I believe two members of the original Skrewdriver attempted to sue Ian Stuart for rights to the name when he came out publicly as a white suppremacist. Still though those are all great records. Ironically though I don't think the majority of people that listen to Skrewdriver whether they themselves are racist or not would care about the band if they weren't that controversial. You never hear people on Hardcore message boards talking about Sham 69, Cockney Rejects, Angelic Upstarts, Menace, or Slaughter and the Dogs like you do Skrewdriver even though the Upstarts, Rejects, and Sham were just as good as 'Driver.
"All Skrewed Up" is actually probably the least musically phenomenal out of all of the bands' early records. It's good but it's more on par with say Satan's Rats or other obscure British Punk of the era than with the power of the first wave of Oi! bands. |

| so this is what happened. we have like 900 dollars worth of ticket sales and some how we are 100 dollars short? we were missing like 2 tickets thats all. anyways we are told we are going on second and we get 25 minutes. we set up are stuff and im joking around with the sound guy about how loud i am so i say "are you kidding i have to turn down more?" so he says "yeah. do you want to be the only one heard, do you want no one to hear the guitar? is it all about you? its all about you isnt it?" so i jokingly tell him "yeah its all about me" and he sharply tells me "turn down NOW" and walks away. so now im little bit uneasy with whats going to happen during our set. we get 5 songs in and he comes up and says we have 5 more minutes, which pissed me off alot. so we play one more song and he tell us we are done. so we do what every band should do in that situation, keep on playing. so we played another one and hes whistling at us to get off so we bust into another one and he's telling us to stop during the whole song. after that one was done i yell at mike fleck to start zombie attack. and you can hear him yelling "YOURE DONE! YOURE DONE! YOU ARE DONE!" and in the last little break in that song right before the "2.3.4." part he unplugs my bass get on stage and starts yelling at us. mike tried to go in to bite it you scum but by then he was right behind me yelling at throwing a huge fit. so mike stopped. and i yell "KEEP FUCKING PLAYING!!" and by now josh is get up from his kit and we had to stop so when we finally stop, everyone is booing and throwing water cups at the sound dude. and he yelling at us say " I DIDNT EMPLOY YOU TO NOT LISTEN TO WHAT I SAY! YOU WILL NEVER PLAY HERE AGAIN IF YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT" and then he turns to josh and says " your the drummer you lead theses guys if i tell you too stop you need to stop you guys are never playing again". so im yelling at him and junk and hes mad. so all in all, he was super rude the whole time, we didnt get to play our whole set and we didnt get paid. im never playing there again unless, i have plans to rob the place of ticket sales or something. |
